Charles J. Cushman focuses his practice on civil litigation and work as corporate counsel.  He concentrates on business and employment matters, dispute resolution, contract negotiation, property owners associations, waterfront/riparian disputes, and traffic violations.  Charles enjoys being in the courtroom, but counsels clients in their efforts to avoid litigation, as well.  Charles serves as Airport Attorney to the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport.  He was recently named one of New Bern’s 20 Under 40 by My New Bern Magazine.

 

Charles’s mother grew up in New Bern and the majority of that side of his family still resides here. Growing up, Charles loved his summer and holiday visits to the area and jumped at the opportunity to move there after law school.  He and his wife have two children and they can usually be found on the Trent River.
